Moulds

   Before the actual moulds can
be made a model is required.
This is a solid version of the
   finished piece. The model can
either be made from clay or
   plaster. The material used is
determined by the form to be
achieved – I use plaster for the
bowl models and clay for the
   cradle models. Great precision
is required in the making of the
models; if they are not exactly
right the design outcome will be
   compromised.
